Overview #
The following documentation shows how to make use of custom marker icons for the makers on your Advanced Custom Fields driven map.
Setup #
Prerequisites #
The Following Plugins need to be installed and active
- WP Go Maps
- WP Go Maps Pro Addon
- Advanced custom fields– with existing Field Group for your ACF map
Adding a Marker Icon Field to your Field Group #
Please return to the ACF plugin and Select Field Groups,
Open ACF Field Groups
Identify your map field group and Edit it
Edit your field Group
Select Add Field
Add Field
- Select Field Type: Image
- Enter Field Label: Marker Icon
- Confirm Field Name: marker_icon
- Select Return Type: Image ID
Enter field attributes
Then Close Field and Save Changes
Selecting your marker Icon #
Navigate to the associated post (page in this example), for each marker icon that should be amended and select Add Image, to add the required marker icon
