Our Real Cookie Banner integration is developed and managed by the devowl.io team, and for most users this will work perfectly out of the box.
However, on some installations we have noticed the need for an additional content blocker script, specifically targeting our settings object. This object is loaded alongside the maps to allow us to fetch your preferred settings.
For some installations, this can lead to a loading order error, which prevents maps from fully initializing. Luckily this is very simply to resolve with the help of Real Cookie Banner’s settings.
Navigate to the following area:
Cookies > Content Blocker > Google Maps > Edit
Locate the following setting:
Technical Definition > Elements to block
And add the following to this section, on a newline:
script[id=”wpgmza-js-extra”]
Save your settings and clear any caching you may have in place. Once this is complete, the loading order will be respected and the map should load normally.
