In version 10, you now have enhanced control over the visual appearance of your Polylines and Polygons with the introduction of customizable line styles.
This feature allows you to clearly differentiate map elements based on their meaning or purpose.
Setting Your Line Style #
You can set the line style when you are creating a new polyline/polygon or editing an existing one within the map editor.
- Edit your map and navigate to either Polylines or Polygons
- Add/Edit a Polygon or Polyline
- Within the shape editor panel find the Line Style option
- Select your preferred style and save your shape
Available Line Styles #
The following three line styles are available for both polylines and polygons:
| Line Style | Description |
| Solid | The default, continuous line (e.g., used for permanent boundaries). |
| Dashed | A line composed of long, regularly spaced segments (e.g., used for major routes or proposed zones). |
| Dotted | A line composed of short, frequently spaced dots (e.g., used for suggested or temporary areas). |
