Overview #
This section covers how to enable and configure a marker listing for all map markers
Prerequisites #
The Following Plugin/s need to be installed and active
- WP Go Maps
- WP Go Maps Pro Add-on
Enabling the marker listing #
The marker listing feature can be enabled for your chosen map by navigating as follows, and choosing a Style other than Disabled:
Maps (edit your chosen map) -> Settings -> Marker listing -> General
Click Save Map to start displaying the a marker listing according to your chosen style on the map
General Settings #
Style #
The Marker listing styles include:
- Basic list: Simple display including Icon, Title, Address
- Basic Table: Tabulated display including, Title, Address, Icon, Custom Fields, Image
- Advanced Table: Tabulated display including sortable headers for Icon, Title, Category, Address, Description, Link and Custom fields
- Note, the Advance Table listing is the only Listing Style that includes a Search bar
- Carousel: A marker carousel with blocks that include Image, Icon, Title, Category, Address, Description, Link and Custom fields. By default the items auto scroll
- Grid: Marker block in a static grid displaying Image, Category Icon, Title, Address, Description, Link and Custom fields.
- Category Grouped List: Groups listings by their primary category, which acts as a heading for the section. Minimal data.
- Note, for the best results please set your Maps > Settings > Marker Listing > Show X items by default > To “ALL” to prevent pagination from interfering with groupings
- Category Grouped Tabs: Groups listings by their primary category, into tabbed sections with additional navigation. Minimal data.

- Panel: Clean display of Title, Address and image
Placement #
Marker listings can be placed inside the map on the left or right or they can be placed above or below the map.
Placement options automatically update based on the style you select, within the map editor.
Sorting markers #
The Markers displayed in the list can be sorted in Ascending or Descending order along the either of the following dimensions available in the Order Markers by Drop Down list
- ID
- Title
- Address
- Description
- Category
- Category Priority
- Distance
- Rating
Filtering #
Filter options are available by navigating as follows:
Maps (edit your chosen map) -> Settings -> Marker listing -> Filtering
Enabling the category filter and filter placement settings are available in this area.
DataTable settings #
By Default the Advanced Marker listing table includes a search box, this box can be disabled from this section toggling Remove search box:
Maps (edit your chosen map) -> Settings -> Marker listing -> DataTables
Global Settings #
Marker listings are subject to the global marker listing settings. Global settings cover marker listing Field and Column visibility, Number of items shown in a list, device specific configuration and Autoplay speed (for carousel listing) The global settings can be accessed at the following location:
