Version 10 introduces a complete overhaul of Info Window styling, giving you six powerful options to control how location details are presented to your users. These styles allow you to choose between traditional pop-ups attached to the marker or modern, static panels anchored to the map container.
Setting Your Preferred Style #
You have two simple options for configuring your Info Window style: a site-wide default and a map-specific override.
Setting the Global Default Style #
This option sets the default appearance for Info Windows on all maps across your entire website:
Maps > Settings > Info Windows > Style
Use this option to set all default info-windows for all of your maps, existing and new, to create a site-wide visual cohesion between maps.
Overriding the Style Per Map #
You can choose to override the Global Default and select a specific style for any individual map:
Maps > Edit your map > Settings > Info Windows > Style
This allows you to apply different UX patterns based on the map’s function. If you need to revert a map back to Default you can simply select the Global option within the map editor instead.
Anchor Types Explained #
The available styles are separated into two distinct anchor categories, determining where the Info Window appears and how it moves on the map:

| Marker Anchored | The Info Window is attached directly to the marker. It pans and moves with the marker when the map is dragged or zoomed. This is the classic map pop-up behavior. |
| Map Anchored | The panel is fixed to a corner or edge within the map container. It does not move when the map is dragged. |
Marker Anchored Styles #
Default #
The classic, proven Info Window design. Ideal for traditional desktop maps and small content snippets.
Thin #
A condensed, modern pop-up that optimizes vertical space. It presents a streamlined view with a potential image placed on the left and the core data on the right.
Focus #
A stylized version of the classic Info Window, using contrasting elements and modern design to immediately draw the user’s attention.
Map Anchored Styles #
Panel #
A full-sized panel that slides into the left or right side of the map container. This is focused on UX, providing a dedicated, spacious area for rich content and mimicking the experience of popular routing services.
Card #
A standalone overlay card that can be anchored to various parts of the map container (e.g., top-left, bottom-right). It provides a persistent, clear box for information while leaving the map view largely unobstructed.
Drawer #
A navigation-style card positioned at the bottom of the map that slides up when a marker is clicked.

This Styling Wizard is part of our unified user interface system and is where you manage the fine-grained visual details for all mapping components, including Info Windows.
In the Styling Wizard, you can customize elements such as accent colors, component colors (backgrounds and foregrounds), border radius, and font colors. By adjusting these settings, you ensure that the Info Window—regardless of its chosen layout (Default, Panel, Drawer, etc.)—perfectly matches your website’s theme and visual branding, creating a cohesive and professional user experience across all your maps.
