    Hi Antonello,

Thank you so much for getting in touch with us.

Are you trying to use the setting Map Alignment in the map editor under the Advanced Settings tab for centering the map?

Do you have the Show User’s Location? setting ticked in the map editor under the Advanced Settings tab for showing your position?

For showing a user’s location the browser will ask for access to the user’s location in a popup window, you must answer yes to allow access to your location for Google Maps.

You’ll also need to be sure you’ve setup your Google Map API key correctly to use all the features of the plugin, you can do so with these instructions: https://www.wpgmaps.com/documentation/creating-a-google-maps-api-key/

Thanks so much for your time, hope this helps?

    Kind Regards,
    Trevor Anderson

    Hi again,

Thank you for getting back to me on this.

I do apologize but from the look of your screenshot, it looks like you are not using our plugin (I am not 100% sure what plugin you are using though). Are you perhaps using WP Google Map Plugin by FlipperCode as the Polygon area from your Screenshot does not look like our Polygon area from our plugin?

    Again, I apologize for this.

    Hi there,

Thank you for getting in touch with us on this matter.

As mentioned in that thread, we are still reviewing the code that was submitted and we will get around to adding it in, we are however running on skeleton staff so I cannot state when the polyon text area will be added to the plugin.

You can have a mouse over function in the Basic plugin already, you just need to go to the Marker Creation area and then select the Polygon tab and add the Polygon and it will show up the same way as on the demo page (you will need to change the colors but that is about it).

You can however, upgrade from Version 5 to Version 7 and still retain your maps, do not remove maps when updating the plugin on your site.

I hope I have helped and thank you for your time in this matter.

    Hi there,

Thank you so much for getting in touch with us.

I do see that waypoints don’t transfer over to Google Maps when clicking the G icon in the upper right of the directions popup. I will ask our lead developer about this to see if this is a bug, or this was removed for some reason and get back to you.

For the styling issues of the modern directions box, may I have a link to the map you’re experiencing these issues with so I might provide you with a solution?

Thanks so much for your time.

    Kind Regards,
    Trevor Anderson

    Hi again,

Thank you for getting back to me on this matter.

The screenshots that you sent seem to show that the API Key is not fully configured (as you can see in your screenshot, in the Marker Address box, there are small half circle elements and this indicates directly that the Geolocation API Key is not enabled.

Could I ask that you please look at our docs again and at the bottom you will find the required APIs that need to be enabled along with the JavaScript API –

    https://www.wpgmaps.com/documentation/creating-a-google-maps-api-key/

    Google Street View Image API
    Google Places API Web Service
    Google Maps Geocoding API
    Google Maps Directions API
    Google Maps Distance Matrix API
    Google Maps Geolocation API

Could you please enable these additional APIs and see if perhaps this helps the issue at all on your site?

Thank you for your time in this matter.

    Hi there,

I rebuild all code and fixed category in info window and responsive headings in the marker table.

    See attached screenshot.

The strings like “Previous”, “Next” and so on should be available in Loco translation. I cannot find them so I think there migth be some issue with translation file on FTP. Would it be possible for you to create a temporary FTP account for me so that I can debug further? Please mark reply as private.

We fixed filtering issue in our latest plugin updates. I noticed that you are still having previous versions so I tried to update them. It seems there are some issues with folder naming so I cannot do that. If I have access to FTP I can update both plugins for you.

    Kind regards

    Hi there,

Thank you so much for getting in touch with us.

May I ask how you are attempting to add the markers? Is it a specific address, GPS coordinates, or are you right clicking on the map?

Thanks so much for your time.

    Hi there,

Thank you for getting in touch with us on this matter.

Can you please confirm that you have both the Basic and Pro (if applicable) versions installed and activated on your site? Can you also please try going to Maps->Settings->Advanced and then adding the API Key into the API Key field above the Custom CSS box. The API Key field there should display with no issue.

If you cannot see the API Key box in the Settings, please could I ask you to send me a screenshot of the plugin version numbers you are using as well as the Advanced page in the Settings where the API Key box is above the Custom CSS box.

I hope this helps and thank you for your time in this matter.

    Hi Michael,

Thank you for getting back to me on this matter.

I have sent this ticket through to a developer and they will be logging in and seeing what the issue is on your site.

Please note that there is an increase in support, so there will be a delay in the developer getting back to you, but please rest assured that they will get back to you to help in sorting this issue out.

Thank you for your time in this matter.

    Hi Darcy,

Thank you for getting back to me on this matter.

I do apologize sincerely, I gave the update number for the Pro. If you go to the Plugins page on your site and then click on Add New and then search for "WP Google Maps" and once you have found it, then there should be an update option to 7.0.01. This should fix the issue on your site, however, if not, please get back to me and I will try my level best to help you.

Thank you for your time in this matter.
