    Hey Nathan,

Thank you the timely reply. Solid support as always.

See the attached image for what I see in WP admin. FWIW, I updated on a staging site, and then read the changelog in the php via ftp. All Low Priority updates in 6.17 and 6.18, (second image) but just knowing is important.

As for the ‘updated version,’ after I had gone through some issues, and then testing and helping resolve some problems, I’m certain my license was upgraded to 6.0+. Surprised it is not reflected there?

Anyway, thanks again for the best maps plugin out there and always great support.

    Have a great day.

    Hey Nick,

Can I hit you up on this one again? I never have got the format you referenced to work. You mentioned that you were going to look at an easier way to do this. I would have been happy just to CSS display:none the thing and call it good, but that doesn’t work either.

I know its an edge use case, so I appreciate your help.

Thanks and have a great day.

Updating this, as I found the link here on the site to the most recent version of Pro, downloaded it, overwrote the existing beta I had in place, and now we’re working again.

As this was the first time since purchase that I updated, I just don’t recall seeing info on the update link.

    All good now. Thanks.

    Hey Nick,

I removed both sections around lines 1794 and 2220, to no avail. Do I need to reminify that js? or change the same places in the .min file too? to get this to work?

    Thanks.

Not a problem, glad I wasn’t losing my mind. 🙂 This is a great addition to the plugin. Thanks.

    Hey Nick,

I removed this from lines 1724 + and 2152 + in js/core.js but the mileage remains. Then I was thinking, do I need to do something with the core.min.js file also to get this to work? And if so, how do I go about that?

    Thanks.

I’ve been like a dog chasing its tail on this. 🙂

So, I finally got this working, really happy to see this function. Problem is, originally I could only get it working for the base plugin – after I deactivated Pro.

After quite a bit of time, and deactivating/activating the plugins, I found that that a custom load order was affecting the function. Once I made sure that the Base plugin loaded before the Pro addon, the auto complete works now with Pro also!

But one real problem remains… none of the settings/changes I make in WP Google Map Settings / InfoWindows or Marker Listing tabs ‘stick’ – I enter hide address / save and upon refresh, that tick is gone and the L/L/addr shows on the map. I change the Max InfoWindow width to 240 / Save and return and it’s still 200. I change the Show X items by default to 25 / Save and return and it’s still 10.

Driving me pretty crazy here. I appreciate any guidance you can give to actually get all the pieces working right together.

    Thanks.

I wanted to bump this… still looking for clarity if this plugin can do this.

Again, if better explanation or examples needed, let me know, I’ll provide.

    Hey Nick,

I understand. Not a problem. I’ll try and work through as is, unfortunately, this is really only an issue with this first huge map we are looking to create. Once that’s done, we wouldn’t really need the feature, but it will be great for folks in the future, lol.

Although I guess if this ability to view/edit multiple polygons (like we can do in Google MyMaps) would apply to existing maps (once implemented) it *would* make it significantly easier to clean up and correct boundaries that were a little off. So that would be good.

    Thanks.

    No worries, welcome back. 🙂

So unless I’m missing something, no that post is not reflective of what I want to accomplish. What I am saying is to place a map on a page (e.g. via shortcode), and on that map is a mashup of several POI’s taken from various sources (e.g. posts).

Where the map would display POI’s based on the location that was in each individual post (maybe created on the post with the lat/lng custom field you reference) and the selection of POI’s would be based on some specified criteria.

By way of example: Display the POI’s contained in the most recent 5 posts that were from either category ‘abc’ or ‘123’

and that POI on the mashup would have the infowindow contain post information, and would link to the post upon click.

If I am not explaining it well, sorry, 🙂 I can show you examples of what I had used previously, just let me know.

    Thanks.

Hold the Presses. At my wits end on this, I finally deactivated both plugins, reactivated Basic, then reactivated Pro, and voila… Too simple. Lots of stuff works again. Not sure why, but I’ll take it. Now I’ll continue to try and recreate my vision for how this should work.

Having said that… I still don’t see a way to get more detailed information into the infowindow of a Polygon… I see it in the Marker option, but not the Polygon. How do I do that?

    Thanks.

No worries, thanks for the followup. Well, the ability to save marker info is fine, plugin conflict now resolved.

But I looked all over and didn’t see the way to add a bunch of info to a *Polygon* infowindow. Do you have a link to docs on that?

If we can make it where the Polygon infowindow can contain the info I need and a link, I think that would suffice, but I can’t get it to do so. (I could reduce the radius on the address search to like .25 mi so the radius overlay did not preclude the click on the polygon from opening an infowindow).

But there is very limited title info space in the polygon set up, no detailed description field, and whenever I add a link, it fails to work.

I have deactivated all other plugins and tried on a standard theme, to no avail.

    Guidance is appreciated. Thanks!

I think one of the markers was not saving changes (including to ‘not open’) because of a js conflict. That is what was making one of the windows still auto open, even if it was not related to the search. I resolved that and can now set it to be no windows auto open. Good start.

Also changed ‘selected’ radius in code to default ‘force’ open ‘nearby’ info window(s) (based on a guesstimated new ‘selected’ distance that would work with any of the markers — although several windows often end up auto opening).

Having mostly resolved auto open/no open window confusion, back to the ‘perfect world’ request… would it be possible to have the ability of the info window of the marker that is in the *same polygon* as the searched address be the one that auto opens.

    Thanks.
