On iOS, the map is sized correctly, and includes all markers, when in landscape mode.
When I move to portrait, the map is zoomed in too far, and loses most markers.
If I start in portrait, it has the same appearance (zoomed in and loses markers).
I can pinch and zoom, but would prefer is shows up with the correct zoom level based on viewport.
Do I need to add some css?
Thank you
May 25, 2021 at 8:23 am #69086MatthewModeratorHi there,
Thank you for getting in touch with us, we do appreciate your time.
It is possible to set your map to load with all the markers within the viewport, thus please could I kindly ask if you may follow the steps below and confirm if this achieves meets your requirements:
1. Navigate to your Map Editor (Maps -> Maps -> Edit).
2. Click on the “Advanced Settings” tab.
3. Find and enable the “Fit map bounds to markers” setting.
4. Scroll down and click the “Save Map” button.Once this has been done and tested, please may you confirm if this helps load the map with a zoom so that all the markers display in the viewport?
I look forward to hearing back from you.

MatthewMay 25, 2021 at 9:47 pm #69097sawmriMemberHi, Matthew-
Unfortunately, the page has another issue related to WP Google Maps.
When the map is embedded, the slider background image at the top and a background container image halfway down the page fail to appear, only on tablet and mobile. Also, the mobile menu fails. Desktop, everything is still OK.
I tried everything I could to restore those images, but eventually, I found that simple removing the embedded map restored everything.
Is there a setting in WP Google Maps that is disabling the menu and causing the failure of background images, only on mobile and tablet?
Thank you!
May 26, 2021 at 9:16 am #69102MatthewModeratorHi there,
My apologies for this inconvenience.
WP Google Maps does not have a setting for that, thus it may be another factor that is causing the issue.
Please could I kindly ask if you are open to providing me with a link to your map page so that I may take a closer look and run a few tests regarding this?
Should you not want to post your map link on the forum, you may send it to me directly at “[email protected]” with reference to this thread.
I look forward to hearing back from you.

May 27, 2021 at 9:40 am #69132MatthewModeratorHi again,
Thank you for the link that you have provided as it is of much help.
I have run a few tests and it appears that the nav menu issue on mobile devices (smaller screens) receives a JavaScript error when clicked and thus is not caused by WP Google Maps:
Uncaught TypeError: fusionNavClickExpandBtn is not a function -- (index):118
With regards to slider background and background images not being displayed, please could I kindly ask if you may temporarily remove the map from the page so that I may run a few tests to see the differences?
I look forward to your response.

MatthewMay 27, 2021 at 5:56 pm #69143sawmriMemberI disabled the map. When I do so, all the lost functions and images come back. I’m pretty sure the map is causing the issues.
I appreciate your help resolving this.
May 28, 2021 at 12:04 pm #69151MatthewModeratorHi there,
Thank you for your continued time and patience on this, it is much appreciated.
Thank you for the confirmation and disabling the map, however, please could I kindly ask if you are open to creating a temporary admin account for me on your site so that I may run a few tests and interchange between your page with and without your map accordingly?
If you are open to this, please do not send the credentials on this forum, instead, please may you send them to me directly at “[email protected]”?
I look forward to hearing back from you.

MatthewMay 28, 2021 at 7:38 pm #69156sawmriMemberThank you, Matthew-
I sent the user name and password, as requested, to your email.
Also, I am having the same issue on one more page as soon as I activate the map:

Please note, I have removed the sliders, now only sections with background images. So, the background images don’t show up, the menu doesn’t work, and the sticky header doesn’t work, only on tablet/mobile, and only when the map plugin is present. If I remove that shortcode for the map, everything resolves.
I hope that is helpful.

June 1, 2021 at 12:54 pm #69198MatthewModeratorHi again,
Thank you for getting back to me and for your continued patience on this, I really appreciate it.
Thank you for the account as it was a tremendous help. I have run a few tests on your site and noticed that you had implemented some Custom JS code in the WP Google Maps settings area (Maps -> Settings -> Advanced Settings).
I thus then audited your Custom JS code that you had implemented and it appears that there were a few syntax errors in the code as well as some map objects were being used that do not exist in WP Google Maps. This is thus the cause of the issue as the custom JS code will throw errors and cause the JavaScript engine to fail.
With that said, I have commented out your custom JS code and all the issues appear to be resolved on my end. Please may you clear your browser cache and confirm if the issue has been resolved on your end?
If so, please may you confirm what your custom JS code was meant to do so that I may see if the code can be rebuilt or if there is a different way of achieving the same effect?
I look forward to hearing back from you.
Kindest Regards,
Matthew -
