    Dear Support Team

    I installed the Goldn Add On to life track locations.
    The location tracking works fine and shows up on the map well.

    But the Time Stamp is wrong on the pin. It is 1 hour behind “our real time”.
    I checked already the time settings on wordpress. The time zone i need is +1 houre of the UTC.
    Any ideas what could that be?
    From where gets the location tracking the Time Stamp?

    Greetings and thank you a lot

    Lucas

    Hi Lucas,

    Thank you so much for getting in touch and reporting this issue.

    I have had a look at the code which handles this and it appears we make use of the server time and not the WordPress time settings. This is a mistake on our part, and we will be sure to release an update for this as soon as possible.

    In the meantime, would you be comfortable with making some minor code changes on your side to resolve this issue? I would be able to guide you through the process from my side.

    I look forward to hearing back from you.

    Hi there,

    Thank you so much for your time on this one.

    You will need to edit the wp-google-maps-gold.php file and find the following snippet of code:

    $desc_text = sprintf( __( 'Location as at %1$s', 'wp-google-maps' ),
                                    date("Y-m-d H:i:s")
                                );

    And continue to change it to:

    $desc_text = sprintf( __( 'Location as at %1$s', 'wp-google-maps' ),
                                    current_time("Y-m-d H:i:s")
                                );

    This will then use your WordPress time instead of server time.

    Please note these code changes can be made from Plugins -> Editor.

    I hope this helps?
