I created a Map with some Markers (including custom Images for the Markers), as long as I am still logged into WordPress I can see the Markers on the Map.

My first problem is that whenever I preview the site I cannot interact with the Markers at all, they just appear as images.

Whenever I log out of WordPress and visit the Website with the Map, the Markers just disappear, however, the Maps stays in Place and is centered around the Position where the Markers would be.

I tried using the default Icon but that doesn’t change anything.

    Hi there,

Thank you so much for getting in touch and our apologies for any trouble.

Could I kindly ask you to confirm what versions of WP Google Maps and WP Google Maps Pro you currently have installed?

Additionally, could I kindly ask you to provide me with a link to your map?

I look forward to hearing back from you.

    Kindest Regards,
    Steven De Beer

    I am using

    WP Google Maps 7.11.44
    WP Google Maps Pro 7.11.49

but normally I just use the most recent version.

Here is the link to the Map: http://waermepumpe-izw.de/karte-niederlande-2

and I attached a Screenshot of how the Map looks like in the Editor

    Hi there,

Thank you so much for getting back to me.

It appears that this may be due to the current theme causing a jQUery conflict.

Could I kindly ask you to temporarily switch to the default theme or another WordPress theme and test once more?

    Please confirm once done.

    Kindest Regards,
    Steven De Beer

I just tried out selecting the default theme, however, for normal Visitors of the Website, this won’t change anything.

For me, being logged into WP as an Admin, I can at least now interact with the Markers on the Map (i.e. click on Markers to see the Description and Pictures added).

    Hi there,

Thank you so much for getting back to us.

Could I kindly ask if you would be open to providing us with temporary admin access?

This will allow us to take a closer look and perhaps apply a fix for this issue on your site.

If so, please submit a ticket here: https://www.wpgmaps.com/contact-us/ with the necessary details and one of our developers will take a closer look into this for you.

We look forward to hearing back from you.

    Kindest Regards,

Sorry for the late reply, in the meantime, I finally fixed the issue.

The problem was that my Website wasn’t using the https protocol.

However I got a new problem, I am using the newest version of both Plugins (WP Google Maps & WP Google Maps Pro) but the Map doesn’t show in the Editor.

    I will add a Picture

Could I kindly ask you to open your JavaScript Console(Chrome: F12 -> Console) and please take a screenshot of any errors present while on the map editor page?

I look forward to hearing back from you.
