I am building a site which allows visitors to upload an image when then extracts the geo coordinates from the image data and posts it as a VGM entry. Ideally I would somehow allow visitors to create these sites as a custom post type in WordPress. Then they could just log in and edit their posts instead of having to edit the VGM posts. Has anyone experience working with the extension in this way?

    Hi there,

Thank you so much for getting in touch with us.

This may take some amount of work. WP Google Maps doesn’t use any custom post types, it instead saves marker data in the wpgmza table in the database. You would likely need to code a completely new plugin to handle this new workflow as VGM simply outputs a form under the map that users fill out and then adds that info into the marker database table.

Thank you so much for your time.

    Kind Regards,
    Trevor Anderson
