    Hi,

I’d like to have a larger field (text area) instead of a text field as a custom field for larger text. A WYSIWYG editor will also be fine.

Is there a way to arrange this?

    Thanks!

    Hi there

Thank you for getting in touch.

Unfortunately the plugin doesn’t support this at all. Your only options would be to use the WYSIWYG editor elsewhere, then paste the raw HTML into that field, or alternatively, use the description field.

Custom fields are really only intended for storing small values, and to be used for filtering and sorting on that data. They’re not really intended to hold large amounts of content or presentation. The description field is intended for any such content (it’s also searchable).

Out of curiosity, what exactly is your real world use case, can you tell us more about your field and what you are looking to put into it?

    Kind regards

    Hi Perry,

    Thank you for your answer.

    The use case:
There are multiple markers, which represent a problem at a certain area, which need to be solved by taking multiple actions. Since there are multiple actions per problem, it would come in handy if the custom field (actions which need to be taken) was a text area, so there can be stored multiple actions in one custom field.

    Hi there

Thank you very much for your feedback.

Unfortunately we can’t fast track such a feature, but we will add this to our feature request list with a view to build that in in the coming months.

Is there anything else we can help you with?

    Kind regards
    – Perry
