Hello devs,
We’ve noticed that if the Marker List is set up as “Advanced Table” the list includes a pretty useful Search field which allows the user to filter the list and search by name.
This search box doesn’t seem to be available when using the “Basic Table” layout. We like this layout a lot but it’s missing the search by name field.
Is there a setting or something we can do to add this search box?
The Store locator has something like it, but it’s not that helpful since it requires you enter a location and define a radius which can be slightly confusing.
Thanks!

Unfortunately, this additional search is only available in the Advanced Table marker listing as this makes use of a 3rd party solution in the form of Datatables which allows for searching and filtering of columns.
This means that this is not compatible with any of the other marker listings and is specific to the Advanced Table marker listing.
I hope this helps to clarify?
Kindest Regards,

My understanding is that the markers are of some custom type but not custom WP post types, which sort of limits any search functionality outside the plug-in’s orbit.
I hope you consider this feature for future versions of the plug-in.
Thanks again and best regards!

Thank you so much for getting back to me.
Not a problem at all.
This is something we will be looking into for a future version of WP Google Maps and I have added this to our list of requested features. 🙂
Do have a fantastic week further!
Kindest Regards,
