Is it possible to place a search field on another page and from there open the page with the map and directly look for the store close to the location in the search field? To call the page with an argument/a value for the store locator? For a marker or a category it is possible I saw. Can I also pass the location to look for as an argument?

This is unfortunately, not currently possible by default and will require custom scripts to achieve this.
This is a feature that will be coming in WP Google Maps V9 which we are hoping to have released within the next month or so.
