    Hello,

    I just set up a Store Locator using Openlayer for the map engine and Modern for the UI. When I enter a zip code and hit my return key on my keyboard, the Search button turns into the Reset button returning no results.

    As far as I know, it’s many people’s habit to just hit an enter key after filling out a search field. So this is an issue.

    Does anyone know how to fix this?

    Hi there,

    Thanks for getting in touch with us.

    The enter key currently performs the search after pressing it which is why it changes to the reset button due to it currently searching.

    If you would like to remove this functionality, could I kindly ask if you could send me a link to your map page so that I can prepare the custom code for you in order to achieve this?

    Hi Dylan,

    Thanks for the offer. I am fine with having the reset button. The issue is that using the enter key does not trigger the search. The button just switches to “Reset” and there is no results. I am using Mac and tested with Firefox, Chrome, and Safari. All of them return no results.

    Is there a setting that I am missing?

    Hi there,

    Thanks for the response and information.

    It seems like this might be as a result of a JavaScript error on the page causing the search function not to work correctly.

    Could I kindly ask if you could send me a screenshot of the JavaScript console on the map page after you have pressed the enter button? The JavaScript console can be opened by right clicking on the page and clicking “Inspect Element” and then clicking on the “Console” tab.
    This will be a major help in determining the cause of the issue and assisting you further.

    Hi Dylan,

    Since it was a time sensitive project, I had to launch the site without the store locator and was ask to use a different map plug-in in the phase 2. Wish I had a time to get your help to resolve it. Thank you anyway!
