Hi there,
Thank you so much for your feedback on this one. It appears the issue is still the referrer not being allowed through.
Please remove all the referrers from the API project and enter the following instead:
– *.thewaywardroad.com/*
– *thewaywardroad.com/*This should resolve the issues you are having.
Please let me know if it does? 🙂

Would you perhaps be comfortable with creating a temporary admin account for me on your site? I will then login and add a development API key for you to see if this resolves the issue.
If so, please send the login details as a Private Reply and I will get to this as soon as possible. 🙂
January 18, 2017 at 4:52 pm #23363kevhMemberHi, I am also having this problem since upgrading to version 6.4.00. Everything has been working fine until now (over a year). I have tried following the instructions to set an API key (although I don’t remember having to do this before). I have set the key restrictions to http referrers and used the address *maxwellcomms.com and *.maxwellcomms.com
The address of the map page is http:/www.maxwellcomms.com/contact/
Thank you, in advance, for any help you can give.January 19, 2017 at 7:25 am #23375DylanModeratorHi there,
Thank you so much for getting in touch, we appreciate your time.
The API key restriction is something that was introduced by the Google Maps API, and therefore became a requirement for WP Google Maps users as well.
With regards to the API key referrers you have setup, please try removing those referrers and entering these instead:
*.maxwellcomms.com/*
*maxwellcomms.com/*As the ‘wildcard’ (*) symbol needs to be in place on both ends of the domain.
This should resolve the issue? 🙂

I’ve changed the referrers in the API key as suggested. Unfortunately, I’m still getting the same error.

Any other ideas?
January 24, 2017 at 7:38 am #23536DylanModeratorHi Kevh,
Thank you so much for your time on this one.
I had a look at your site and it appears the ‘DeletedApiProjectMapError’, which as seen below, suggests the project may no longer be present in your console?
“Your API project may have been deleted from the Google API Console. Please check the project for which you generated the API key that’s included in JavaScript API loader. You can create a new API project and get a new key on the Google API Console.” – Reference: Google Maps API – Error List
Could I ask that you check your console to ensure you are still using the same API project?
January 27, 2017 at 1:26 pm #23663kevhMemberHi Dylan,
Sorry for the delay in replying, only just had a chance to look at this!
Thank you for your help. I’ve realised my mistake. After re-reading the documentation I realised that I hadn’t completed the instructions. I’ve just added the Google Maps Javascript API and the map now works.
I must say, the Google interface is very confusing to a non-techie. All good now, though 😀

So glad to hear you got this sorted! 🙂
Please do let me know if you need anything else in future.
January 31, 2017 at 8:47 am #23744thewaywardroadMemberHey Dylan, I created a temp admin account for you as you suggested. Please, let me know if you are able to access your account and identify the issue with our map. Many thanks in advance,
