    Hi,
    I manage 3 wordpress site.
    Recently I created a new site and added WPGmaps plugin.
    Like other sites I added site on google console, create a new key (with limitation on caller domain) and added the key to plugin settings.
    But I receive always message about “You have exceeded your request quota for this API”. But is impossible: sites is new and is “coming soon mode” so only me are able to see map.
    Other old sites still work (with the same plugin).

    What I m wrong?

    Thank you so much for getting in touch with us, and our sincere apologies for the inconvenience.

    This error is usually displayed due to Google’s recent pricing changes whereby it is now required to link your billing account to your API project.

    Could I kindly ask if you could please confirm if you have linked a billing account to this new API Key?

    Please note that they do give you $200/month credit and they say that will keep the maps free for most users.

    They will give you 28,000 free loads a month and 40,000 geocoding calls.

    Please also note that these pricing tables will only apply if you exceed the free monthly credit. This means that you will only pay for what you use.

    Hi,
    thax for your fast answer.

    So is possible that old my site (that key was generated in past) still work and only new site wait for this billing account?

    Also, I m sure that for now, this is a wonderful limit that I m sure all my sites will not exceed, but then I suppose when the site will be released it would be better to have an account activated by the domain owner?
    Furthermore, is there any alert to set so that you are alerted “before” reaching the payment threshold?

    Each API Key will require you to link a billing address to them.

    Yes, if you have linked your billing account and you have inserted the referrers correctly, then the old API Key should still function as intended.

    Am I correct if I say that you would like to know if you can change the billing address later on?

    You can also set a budget or alert that will notify you once you have reached your limit.
