Currently using Gold v5, but I think I need some functionality from Pro v7.
Specifically, I’m looking to add text labels/title’s inside my polygon shapes (similar to this: https://www.wpgmaps.com/forums/topic/feature-proposal-add-ability-to-show-text-labels-within-polygons/) as well as have a mouse-over effect as shown in the demo here: https://www.wpgmaps.com/demo/polygons-and-polylines/
Can I achieve this with Gold? If not, is it easy to migrate from Gold to Pro without re-creating all the maps, locations and polygons?April 12, 2018 at 8:59 pm #36664
Thank you for getting in touch with us on this matter.
As mentioned in that thread, we are still reviewing the code that was submitted and we will get around to adding it in, we are however running on skeleton staff so I cannot state when the polyon text area will be added to the plugin.
You can have a mouse over function in the Basic plugin already, you just need to go to the Marker Creation area and then select the Polygon tab and add the Polygon and it will show up the same way as on the demo page (you will need to change the colors but that is about it).
You can however, upgrade from Version 5 to Version 7 and still retain your maps, do not remove maps when updating the plugin on your site.
I hope I have helped and thank you for your time in this matter.April 12, 2018 at 9:07 pm #36665
Thanks for the speedy reply!
I’m happy to implement the custom title changes myself until you can release it, but it seems the changes in that thread are for the Pro version, and not Gold?
Is there any way to modify Gold to do the same?
Where is the Marker Creation area? I have been using the Drawing area and my shapes do not have a hover effect, they stay in the same state on hover: https://www.screencast.com/t/TMMlvXgSApril 12, 2018 at 9:08 pm #36666This reply has been marked as private.April 12, 2018 at 9:11 pm #36667
Thank you for getting back to me on this.
I do apologize but from the look of your screenshot, it looks like you are not using our plugin (I am not 100% sure what plugin you are using though). Are you perhaps using WP Google Map Plugin by FlipperCode as the Polygon area from your Screenshot does not look like our Polygon area from our plugin?
Again, I apologize for this.April 12, 2018 at 9:23 pm #36669
Haha, yes you are correct, I thought they were the same plugin!
Looks like I need to make a new purchase, and re-create all my polygons from scratch with your plugin…April 12, 2018 at 9:25 pm #36670
Thank you for getting back to me on this matter and thank you for clearing up the confusion on my side 🙂
