    Hello,
    I have a few markers to update. I clicked on edit for the first marker, updated some text, and the photo & the change saved. After that trying to edit other markers doesn’t do anything. It doesn’t show any of the data in the admin. Any ideas as to the issue?

    Hi there,

    Thank you so much for getting in touch, we really appreciate your time.

    Could I kindly ask you to confirm the exact versions of WP Google Maps and WP Google Maps Pro currently installed?

    Additionally, could I kindly ask you to open your JavaScript Console(Chrome: F12 -> Click Console) and kindly navigate to your map editor.

    Please attempt to edit a marker and take a screenshot of the error that may occur within the console?

    I look forward to hearing back from you.

    Kindest Regards,
    Steven De Beer

    WP Google Maps Version 8.1.13
    Gold Version 5.1.7
    Pro Version 8.0.34

    Now that I am testing it in chrome all works fine. I normally update using firefox (view in chrome) and that is where I was having the issue. Still am in firefox, but as mentioned we are fine in chrome.

    Additionally I have this notice:
    Urgent notice
    WP Google Maps
    You are currently using an outdated PRO version. You need to update your PRO version to the latest version (8.*).

    We have automatically given all PRO users the ability to update to 8.0.34 and then further to 8.1. Any major versions below 8 will no longer be supported.

    I did update the plugin, but the version has not changed.

    Lastly, somethings have changed over time & not sure how to get them back. Originally I had all the surrounding states hidden, but now those show again.

    We can’t drag the map with the mouse cursor.

    That worked, thank you. So now the other states are no longer show.

    What is the option for dragging with the mouse pointer again? That seems to be locked.

    Also is there a way to eliminate the map from showing numbers when there are clusters? And to just have it show more dots?

    Hi again,

    Thank you so much for getting back to me.

    Might I kindly ask you to navigate to -> Maps -> Settings -> General Map Settings. Here you should be able to enable/disable specific map controls such as mouse dragging.

    Lastly, could I kindly ask you to navigate to -> Maps -> Settings -> Advanced Settings -> Please copy the below custom JS and paste this in the custom JS field:

    jQuery( “body” ).mousemove(function( event ) {
    jQuery(‘.wpgmza-google-html-overlay’).contents().filter(function(){
    return this.nodeType === 3;
    }).remove();
    });

    jQuery(document.body).on(“init.wpgmza”, function (event) {
    jQuery(‘.wpgmza-google-html-overlay’).contents().filter(function(){
    return this.nodeType === 3;
    }).remove();
    });

    Once done, please save the settings.

    There’s no default way of disabling the numbers on-top of the cluster icons, however, this might help you to achieve a similar effect.

    Kindly let me know if this helps?

    Kindest Regards,
    Steven De Beer

    Ok thank you. Mouse dragging is all set.

    The code didn’t seem to disable the numbering. But is there a way to just show all spots as clusters? Similar to how it shows inside of WP admin on the map page? I have all yellow icons there & no numbering.

    Hi there,

    Might I kindly ask you to try the following custom script instead?

    Please navigate to -> Maps -> Settings -> Advanced Settings once more.

    replace the previous script with the following script in the custom JS field:

    jQuery(document.body).on('init.wpgmza', function(){
    	WPGMZA.MarkerClusterer.prototype.calculator = function(markers, numStyles)
    		{
    			var index = 0;
    			var count = markers.length;
    			var dv = count;

    			while (dv !== 0) {
    				dv = parseInt(dv / 10, 10);
    				index++;
    			}

    			index = Math.min(index, numStyles);

    			var count = '';

    			return {
    				text: count,
    				index: index
    			};
    		}
    });

    Kindly save the settings and confirm once complete?

    I look forward to hearing back from you.

    Kindest Regards,
    Steven De Beer

    Thank you, unfortunately that code didn’t seem to work either.

    Also not sure what changed, but the listing of all the items on the map no longer show up below the map. Do you know what we have adjusted that could have caused that?

    Hi again,

    Could I kindly ask if you would be open to creating a temporary admin account for me to login with? If so, simply send your response as a private response.

    This should allow me to apply the script directly and adjust where required.

    I look forward to hearing back from you.

    Kindest Regards,

    I believe they like the current setup of the map (I made a few tweaks). I will let you know if they say otherwise once they view it again & then I can send over those credentials.
