I’ve been using WP Google Maps for a long time and I’ve had this issue off and on recently but now it seems like there’s nothing I can do to get the marker listings to display on my web page. I’ve tried using verious listing styles, clearing cache, refreshing the page, using incognito mode and more with no luck.

    My versions are:
WP 5.4 (did the same thing with the last version before updating)
    WPGM 8.0.22
    GOLD 4.25
    Pro 7.11.68

Here’s an example post where the marker listing is not showing:

Waipu and Mangawhai Heads (Bream Bay, New Zealand)

What am I doing wrong? Thanks in advance. Rich

    Hi There,

Thank you so much for getting in touch with us, and our sincere apologies for the inconvenience and delayed response over the weekend.

I have viewed your map page and I was unable to replicate this issue on our side.

Could I kindly ask if you could please confirm if everything is now working for you?

If this issue persists, could you please navigate to your Map page (https://twoatsea.com/waipu-and-mangawhai-heads-bream-bay-new-zealand/) -> Chrome: Right Click -> Inspect -> Console -> Please provide us with a screenshot of the console open on this page>

Could you also please confirm your browser and the steps you took so that we can try and replicate this issue on our side?

Again, we do apologize for the inconvenience.

We look forward to hearing back from you.

    Kind Regards,
    Abel

Thanks for your response. I have tried viewing my website in Chrome as well as Firefox, in both regular and incognito modes (in case it was cached). I’m using a windoze 10 machine. I have attached the console screenshot as well as what I see when I display the page – with no marker listing.

I see that it’s reporting a slow connection. That is always the case for me here in New Zealand. I use cellular for internet and it’s just SLOW here!

Thanks for your help! Please let me know if you need any further info. Rich

    Hi There,

Thank you so much for getting back to me.

I have viewed your map page and it appears that these errors does not seem to be related to this issue.

Could I kindly ask if you could please navigate to your Map page -> Chrome: Right Click -> Inspect -> Network -> Please filter on marker-listing (1) -> Refresh your map page -> Please provide us with a screenshot of the Timing (2) and Response (3) panel open.

    Please see the screenshot below:
    https://drive.google.com/open?id=1Z_MoFlu1rU5h4LPEJ2_R0RC5kGdF-gJT

We will then be able to see if this request completes on your site and if you receive any errors.

I hope this helps clarify, and we look forward to hearing back from you.

    Kind Regards,
    Abel

    Hi Abel,

I’m not sure I did exactly as you asked – I don’t know my way around the console at all. It’s interesting… With the console open, I always get the marker listings on refresh. With the console closed, I don’t. Attached is the screenshot. Thanks, Rich

    Hi Rich,

Thank you so much for getting back to me, and my sincere apologies for the issues you are currently experiencing.

I have viewed your screenshot and it appears that you now only have to click on the “marker-listing/” item -> click on response -> and copy and paste the contents here?

    Please see the screenshot attached.

Alternatively, would you perhaps be open setup a TeamViewer to get this issue resolved ASAP?

If so, could you please submit a support ticket here -> https://www.wpgmaps.com/support/
-> and please do let me know in the ticket when a convenient time from tomorrow to Friday will be?

Could you also please confirm what is your time zone in this ticket, as the developer who will handle this is based in GMT+2.

I hope this helps clarify, and we look forward to hearing back from you.

    Kind Regards,
    Abel

I’d be glad to do a TeamViewer session but the timing might be difficult as I’m in New Zealand (GMT +12). If you want to pick the time, I will be there.

In the mean time, I have attached a text file showing what I get when following your instructions. (Note that I didn’t attach a screenshot as the line of text is very long and doesn’t break.)

Again, when I have the console open, the markers display. When I just view my blog (twoatsea.com) and not the specific post with the map, the markers don’t display with the console open and I get a message in the console that says “Failed to Load Response Data”.

After more trials, I see that every time I load the specific post with the map, the markers display (https://twoatsea.com/waipu-and-mangawhai-heads-bream-bay-new-zealand/). When I just load my blog’s URL (twoatsea.com), the maker list usually doesn’t display (though occasionally it does).

More followup: I see that when the marker listings are loading, the page is loading as https. They don’t load when the page loads as http. I have tried to resolve this with my website but haven’t yet been able to. I don’t know if this is causing the issue or not. I can talk with my ISP again and see if I can resolve the https issue if you think that’s likely the cause. THANKS!!!

I’m also having a problem with marker listings not showing. However, in my case, the whole site is correctly loading through https.

For some reason, when I select a marker listing style for the map, it won’t save it to the database. I monitored the table through PHPMyAdmin and it always saves as 0 in the database.

It’s the Pro Add On V6.47 and the WP Gmaps 8.0.26.

I’m using it on this page: https://www.riversidepresbytery.com/find-a-church/

    Thanks!

    Hi There,

Thank you so much for getting back to me.

Unfortunately, it appears that you do not receive any errors in the console.

Would you perhaps be open to please submit a support ticket here -> https://www.wpgmaps.com/support/ -> and please provide us with a temporary admin account as this will allow us to take a closer look at what is causing this issue?

If so, could you please mention my name (Abel) in the ticket so that the other agents will assign the ticket to me.

Could you also please navigate to Maps -> Edit -> Marker Listing Options -> Chrome: Right Click -> Inspect -> Console -> Select a marker listing style -> Please provide us with a screenshot of the console open on this page?

This will be a tremendous help!

I look forward to hearing back from you and resolving this issue.

    Kind Regards,
    Abel

I have sent the support ticket. I forgot to add the screenshot. I can reply to the ticket with the screenshot if need be.

    Thanks!
