Hi!
I recently purchased the Pro Add-On(Version 9.0.12) for the custom markers and filtering feature. I created a bunch of markers, but the entries are not showing at all in the Markers Listing box. The box either displays this message “No matching records found” or “No data available in table”. Any idea on why this is happening?
October 18, 2022 at 7:43 am #74961MatthewModeratorHi there,
Thank you for getting in touch with us, we do appreciate your time.
Please may I start by asking if you may confirm which version of the base WP Go Maps plugin you are using?
May I then ask if you may confirm if there are any markers in your ‘wpgmza’ database table as that is where the markers are stored once saved?
I look forward to hearing back from you.

Thank you for getting back to me. I ended up deleting the old data and re-installing the plugin, and it seems to work now. I was also wondering if the ACF integration feature works with custom post types?
October 24, 2022 at 9:58 pm #75011eldoggoParticipantHi Matthew,
It’s me again. Apologies for the confusion, but I just realized the issue was with the ACF integration. The markers work when they’re added into Maps > Markers, but they don’t show when I integrate ACF(I followed this tutorial https://www.wpgmaps.com/documentation-advanced-custom-fields-integration/) with custom post types(CPT UI). I was also wondering if the filtering works with taxonomies. The version of the base plugin is 9.0.12. Thanks!

Thank you for getting back to me and for your time on this, I really appreciate it
Yes, the markers that are created when using the ACF posts integration are created dynamically on map load on the frontend thus they are not stored in your database. This is why you do not see the markers in your backend marker listing in your Map Editor as the markers are not created in the backend.
However, you are able to import all your ACF markers to your map using the ACF import feature (Maps -> Tools -> Import), whereby this will then show the markers in the backend map. You would then be able to disable the integration setting for your map as the markers will be stored in your map and do not need to be dynamically created each time. Please note that if you decide to do this, you would need to run the ACF import each time you create a new ACF post to update the markers in the map.
With regards to taxonomies/categories, if you are using the “Atlas Novus” build (Maps -> Settings -> General Settings), you may select which categories/taxonomies you want to use in the settings area (Maps -> Settings -> Categories).
I hope this answers your questions?

Thank you for your response regarding this.
Please may I ask if you may run the ACF Integration “Collation Test” (Maps -> Settings -> Danger Zone), and run the fix if mismatched collations are found?
Once this has been done, please do let me know if this helps?
With regards to the categories, we currently only support selecting the native categories created within WP Go Maps (Maps -> Categories) and the WordPress categories (Posts -> Categories).
Lastly regarding displaying the category in each marker list row, this is possible using some custom JS code thus please may I ask if you would be open to providing me with the link to your map so that I may take a closer look and write the respective code needed?
I look forward to your response.

Thank you for your response.
I am happy to hear that you the collation fix resolved the issue and that your markers are now displaying.
Thank you for the link, I have run a few tests and unfortunately pulling the category from the ACF marker is currently not supported.
With regards to your questions, please see my response below:
1. Yes this is possible using some custom JS code which you may find here: https://gist.github.com/MatthewCodeCabin/ea93c4e5991a8ddf0adfe69e6fca7279Please may you save the code found within the above gist into the “Custom JS” setting block (Maps -> Settings -> Custom Scripts)?
Once this has been done, please clear your browser cache and confirm if this helps?
2. Yes you may set a custom icon for ACF markers using the “Default marker image” setting found in your map editor (Maps -> Edit -> Settings -> Advanced Settings).
Please do let me know if this helps?

All my markers are showing on the map, and I can edit them, but they do not show in the list as it shows “No matching records found”. I attached a screenshot of my wpgmza table (no personal information in it), and they are all in there. I’m on WordPress 6.1.1 with WP Go Maps 9.0.13, and I’m not a pro user.
Any ideas what is causing the issue?
I would gladly export, delete the plugin/tables, and reinstall/reimport the data as it may be a glitch with the plugin updates and data transformation that happened at some point (I don’t revisit the map often), but it’s a pro feature, and I would do that just to try to fix an issue with the plugins. I have too many markers to redo it manually.

Thank you for getting in touch with us, we do appreciate your time.
As your markers are in the database, however, they are not displayed in the marker listing of your maps, this is possible that the REST request for the markers is the cause.
Thus please may I ask if you may enable the “Disable compressed path variables” setting (Maps -> Settings -> Advanced Settings/Miscellaneous) and confirm if this helps?
I look forward to hearing back from you.

MatthewNovember 28, 2022 at 4:58 am #75473fharperParticipant@matthew, it changed nothing. Also, forgot to mention last time, but in addition to be in the database, I can see the pagination in the markers list, just not the markers as mentioned.
P.S.: it would be nice to add reply notifications to your forum. If it’s there, it didn’t work for me.

December 7, 2022 at 7:58 am #75646MatthewModeratorHi @fharper,
Thank you for your response, I really appreciate it!
Thank you for the link to your map, it appears that you currently only have the WP Go Maps basic plugin installed and cannot deduce anything specific as to why the marker listing in the backend may not be populating.
With that said, please may I ask if you may open a support ticket with us (https://www.wpgmaps.com/contact-us/) regarding this so that we may take a closer look at what may be causing this?
I look forward to hearing back from you and assisting you further.
Kindest Regards,
Matthew -
