    Thanks for the solution to the Global settings, that worked well and was a real help.
    Today’s question.
    Is is possible to control the appearance of the marker listings. I would like to reduce the width of some of the fields and also reduce the text size. My map is fine on a pc or table, but I am struggling with a mobile
    Cheers

    Hi Alan,

    Thank you for getting back in touch with us, we do appreciate your time.

    Unfortunately we do not have specific settings to adjust the styling of the marker listing, however, some custom CSS (Maps -> Settings -> Custom Scripts / Advanced Settings) code may be able to help with this.

    If you need assistance with the custom CSS code, please may you provide me with the link to your map as well as the changes that you would like to make?

    I look forward to hearing back from you.

    Kindest Regards
    Matthew

    Trees in Pukekura Park

    At the moment viewing the map on a mobile in port only the title field shows. I would like to be able to see the second field also (botanical name) Which would mean narrowing the title field and wrapping the text where necessary.
    I would appreciate any suggestions to improve this map. As you will see the park is a complex system of paths and this map will hopefully help visitor navigate their way around. I have a second map highlighting features of the park.

    Cheers

    Hi Alan,

    Thank you for your response and time on this.

    Thank you for the links, thus please may you save the below code into the “Custom CSS” setting block (Maps -> Settings -> Custom Scripts) and confirm if this helps:

    @media screen and (max-width: 500px){
        th#wpgmza_map_list_custom_field_11 {
            display: none;
        }

        .wpgmaps_mlist_row {
            display: flex;
            flex-direction: column;
        }

        .wpgmaps_mlist_row .wpgmza_table_custom_field_11::before{
            content: "Botanical Name ";
            font-weight: 900;
        }
    }

    With regards to your park map, I have taken a look at your map and it does appear to be quite a lot of information on the map, thus would hiding the point labels help make the map appear simpler as the user is able to click on a marker to see the title?

    I hope this helps?

    Hi,
    It doesn’t seem to have made a difference.
    I want to be able to see the “Botanical Name” column as well as the “Title” column while holding the phone in the normal portrait orientation.
    Below is how your code has been entered into my CSS Custom script, in case I have made an error.
    Cheers
    Alan

    table#wpgmza_table_38 th[data-wpgmza-column-name=”description”],
    table#wpgmza_table_38 td.wpgmza_table_description{
    display: none;
    }
    table#wpgmza_table_38 th[data-wpgmza-column-name=”custom_field_10″],
    table#wpgmza_table_38 td.wpgmza_table_custom_field_10{
    display: none;
    }
    table#wpgmza_table_38 th[data-wpgmza-column-name=”custom_field_5″],
    table#wpgmza_table_38 td.wpgmza_table_custom_field_5{
    display: none;
    }
    @media screen and (max-width: 500px){
    th#wpgmza_map_list_custom_field_11 {
    display: none;
    }

    .wpgmaps_mlist_row {
    display: flex;
    flex-direction: column;
    }

    .wpgmaps_mlist_row .wpgmza_table_custom_field_11::before{
    content: “Botanical Name “;
    font-weight: 900;
    }
    }

    Hi there,

    Thank you for your response.

    Please may you update all your CSS code with the below code and confirm if this helps:

    table#wpgmza_table_38 th[data-wpgmza-column-name="description"],
    table#wpgmza_table_38 td.wpgmza_table_description{
        display: none;
    }
    table#wpgmza_table_38 th[data-wpgmza-column-name="custom_field_10"],
    table#wpgmza_table_38 td.wpgmza_table_custom_field_10{
        display: none;
    }
    table#wpgmza_table_38 th[data-wpgmza-column-name="custom_field_5"],
    table#wpgmza_table_38 td.wpgmza_table_custom_field_5{
        display: none;
    }
    @media screen and (max-width: 500px){
        th#wpgmza_map_list_custom_field_11 {
            display: none;
        }

        td.wpgmza_table_custom_field_11 {
            display: block !important;
        }

        .wpgmaps_mlist_row {
            display: flex;
            flex-direction: column;
        }

        .wpgmaps_mlist_row .wpgmza_table_custom_field_11::before{
            content: "Botanical Name ";
            font-weight: 900;
        }
    }

    I hope this helps?

    Thanks.
    This sort of works. This allows the user to see the botanical name displayed underneath the Title, but it only allows the user to alphabetically sort on the Title field. What I was hoping to be able to do was to have the field side by side so that the user could alphabetically sort on either field while holding a phone in normal portrait mode. I realize each column would be narrow and the text would have to be reduced in size and be wrapped.
    Cheers

    Hi Alan,

    Thank you for your response and time on this, it is much appreciated.

    Unfortunately we do not have settings to set which fields are collapsed depending on screen sizes, thus this would be the best solution currently to allow for the Botanical name displayed whilst the other columns are collapsed.

    We do hope to include more customization options for the marker listing in future.

    I hope this answers your question?

    Kindest Regards,
    Matthew
