Hello,
I’m having an issue with the WP Google Maps on my website:
Contact Us
If I’m logged in on WordPress I can see the maps just fine however if not then when I press “I Agree” at the bottom of the Map it just reloads to the same screen. When I check the console it says:
Map initalization: TypeError: Cannot read properties of undefined (reading ‘upload_default_marker’)
(anonymous) @ wp-google-maps-pro.m…9.0.10+pro-8.1.20:1Does anyone have a solution?
Cheers,
M.

Thank you for getting in touch with us, we do appreciate your time.
Please may I ask if you may confirm if you have any other cookie-related or GDPR notice plugin installed on your site?
I look forward to hearing back from you.
Kindest Regards,

Any help appreciated.
ThankyouDan

February 22, 2023 at 11:02 am #76472Dan1982ParticipantOk, I have tested this on my staging site and it does not have the same effect and that also has the default map marker warning, so i actually think the two are unrelated and the problem is elsewhere.
I do suffer the same issue as this person though, the GDPR notice just reloads the page and doesn’t initialise the map.
February 24, 2023 at 1:36 pm #76489Dan1982ParticipantIt appears the issue is actually cause by Siteground caching, but I can’t seem to work out what to do stop it.
It works fine when you turn off caching for the page but I have hundreds of maps and would prefer a site-wide solution. I have turned off caching of the wp-google-maps folder in Uploads but this hasnt helped.- This reply was modified 7 months ago by Dan1982.
February 27, 2023 at 1:31 pm #76504MatthewModeratorHi Dan,
Thank you for your response and my apologies for the delayed response.
Thank you for the confirmation and findings, what could be happening is that the way the GDPR Cookie plugin is storing the accept variable/state of whether the user agreed to view the map, is most likely being cached and thus when the page reloads after accepting, the accept variable/state is not updated and thus is seen as not updated.
Please may I ask if you would be able to reach out to the developers of the GDPR plugin you are using and ask if there is anything that could help in this case?
Kindest Regards,
Matthew -
