Hi,
Will this plugin allow the creation of a unique map for each post, using the post interface (i.e. not creating a map and then using a shortcode)?
Ideally, I’d like to have fields on the posts page where I could add coordinates that would create a map, on the posts page.
Is this possible without custom development?
July 13, 2020 at 8:14 am #60119DylanModeratorHi there,
Thank you for getting in touch, we do appreciate your time.
Yes, this is supported with the built-in functionality of the plugin. These maps are considered ‘Dynamic’ and are generated on the fly, as needed.
We have detailed documentation on how to achieve this below:

Should the Custom Fields be set to Text, or Number?
July 15, 2020 at 8:11 am #60150DylanModeratorHi again,
My apologies for not clarifying earlier. In the case of WordPress custom fields, only a single type is support, the ‘text’ type assigned by default within the WordPress post editor.
Specifically, you should not be using the Maps -> Custom Fields functionality, and instead, you should use the WordPress custom fields as documented here: https://wordpress.org/support/article/custom-fields/
I hope this helps?

February 9, 2021 at 10:42 am #67566gezorastislavParticipantHi we are also using these plugin for maps on every posts and we are using custom fields like documented here: https://www.wpgmaps.com/introducing-maps-by-custom-fields/
We have a problem that the map is showing only at the bottom of the page. Is there any way how to specify the exact position in every single post?
Thanks
February 10, 2021 at 8:03 am #67588DylanModeratorHi there,
Thank you for getting in touch, your time is appreciated.
Unfortunately, this functionality uses the WordPress content filter to add a dynamically generated shortcode to the bottom of the page/post content.
As such, it is not currently possible to move this dynamically. However, the shortcode this generates can be found below:
[wpgmza id='1' lat='39.095963' lng='-103.890122' parent_id='1']With that said, you would need to change the parameters for each attribute in the shortcode (id, parent_id, lat, lng). You can add this shortcode manually to each page instead of using the custom fields functionality.
I hope this helps?
