    Hi,

I am starting to have an error on my site – the maps are not displaying and according to the console I am seeing the following error ->

    GET https://www.planmygapyear.co.uk/wp-content/plugins/wp-google-maps/js/v8/open-layers/ol-circle.js 520
category-tree-node.js:36 Uncaught TypeError: WPGMZA.extend is not a function
    at HTMLDocument.<anonymous> (category-tree-node.js:36)
    at i (jquery.js:2)
    at Object.fireWith [as resolveWith] (jquery.js:2)
    at Function.ready (jquery.js:2)
    at HTMLDocument.K (jquery.js:2)

    Example -> https://www.planmygapyear.co.uk/volunteer-in-ghana/

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you.

    Hi there,

Thank you so much for getting in touch with us.

I see that you are using older versions of both the basic/free and Pro plugins, may I ask that you please try updating to the latest versions?

To do this navigate to Plugins -> Installed Plugins, update information should show below the plugins in the list. You may need to reload this page for update information to show.

    Thanks so much,

    Kind Regards,

    Hi Trevor,

    Thanks for the feedback here.

It was actually an update to the latest version of both the plugins which caused the issue. I reverted back to the older versions and the problem still happened.

I know this because I have updated the plugin on an identical site this morning and now the maps do not work? New example – https://www.planmygapyear.com/volunteer-in-madagascar

    Best regards

    Philip

    Hi there,

    Sorry for the issue.

May I ask that you please check if the “Always rebuilds combined script files, does not load combined and minified scripts” option is turned off in Maps -> Settings -> Advanced and if not, please turn it off and save.

Then check if the map is now working.

Also if you have any caching plugins please try clearing the cache as well.

    Thanks so much,

    Kind regards,
    Trevor Anderson

Thanks for the advice here Trevor but I am afraid this has not resolved the issue.

Another example page here -> https://www.planmygapyear.co.uk/cambodia/cambodia-english-teaching-volunteers

Any further tips would be greatly appreciated. 🙂

    Hi there,

    Sorry for the issue.

I’m not seeing any issues with the map on the link above. May I ask that you please double check that you are seeing errors in the browser console there?

    Thanks so much,

    Kind regards,
    Trevor Anderson
