I am getting the following error on the page of my website on which I display a large map depicting our office location. The same error appears in the footer, but interestingly the footer maps works fine on other pages of the website. I tried the troubleshooting steps given at the link in the error message, but they did not resolve the problem so I “un-did” the changes to the header.php file reccomended in those steps.
Error: In order for WP Google Maps to work, jQuery must be installed. A check was done and jQuery was not present. Please see the jQuery troubleshooting section of our site for more information.

Sorry you’re having trouble with the plugin, I’m taking a look into this right now
April 6, 2017 at 3:17 pm #25847PerryModeratorHi Pkeating,
It appears that the Google Maps API is never loaded,
Could it be under Maps -> Settings you have turned this setting on?
“Do not load the Google Maps API”
Please let me know and I’ll endeavour to have this fixed before the end of the day!
April 6, 2017 at 4:00 pm #25851pkeatingMemberYes. I turned that setting on pursuant to the instructions linked by Jarek in this thread:

April 7, 2017 at 10:10 am #25870PerryModeratorHi pkeating,
Sorry for the slow reply, I’m one of the lead developers so I don’t have my support desk open all the time, if you would like to reach me quickly please e-mail on [email protected] and I’ll see it instantly, hopefully we can fix this today.
I visited your site just now and it seems the map is loading (although you haven’t supplied an API key) is this issue solved now or could you direct me to a page where you’re still having problems?
Sorry for the back and forth on this, I’m sure we can fix it today
Kind regards

There should be a large map to the right of the picture on the page above. I get the JQuery error.
I have an API key loading at Maps-Settings-Advanced.
April 7, 2017 at 4:33 pm #25886PerryModeratorHi Pkeating,
Is it possible that there is something else conflicting with the plugin on that particular page, considering it works on the front page?
Would you be comfortable giving me access to your WordPress back end so I can investigate this myself instead of going back and forth?
Thank you
– Perry (WP Google Maps – Support)April 7, 2017 at 4:56 pm #25887pkeatingMemberI’ll send login information to your email address. Thank you.
April 8, 2017 at 7:24 pm #25896pkeatingMemberPerry,
Did you receive the login information that I sent to you yesterday by email?
April 10, 2017 at 1:30 am #25921pkeatingMemberI am about to throw in the towel on getting the app to work. Having heard nothing on the support front, to get the large map working again on the contacts page, I toggled off the option in settings to prevent the Goggle Maps API from loading. The large map now loads again.
For some unknown reason though, the footer map does not load on the “How We are Different” page. The JQuery error appears there. The footer map works on all other pages though. I checked the setting for the page that is not working and they appear to be the same as the settings for the working pages.
April 10, 2017 at 9:51 am #25929PerryModeratorHi Patrick,
I’m really sorry about all the hassle, I’ve been a developer for a long time and I’m passionate about my work.
Just dropping you a courtesy message to say I’m looking into this right now, I’m afraid we don’t work weekends so sorry I haven’t been in touch sooner
Please bear with me,
– Perry (WP Google Maps – Support)April 10, 2017 at 10:00 am #25930PerryModeratorHi Patrick,
I visited the contact page and was unable to reproduce the problem, please see the attached file for it working on the page in question.
If you’re still experiencing problems, could you please disable “LiteSpeed Cache”, and please try doing a hard refresh (Ctrl + F5) on that page?
Kind regards
– Perry (WP Google Maps – Support)April 10, 2017 at 10:33 pm #25999pkeatingMemberI am not sure if you adjusted any settings, but the footer map now appears to be working on the “How We Are Different” page. If you did make an adjustment to accomplish that fix, thank you.
I’ll keep an eye on the site and let you know if the problem reappears.
