    Hi there,

Thank you for getting in touch with us, we do appreciate your time.

I have taken a look at the site you have mentioned and it appears that the map is created by a plugin called “Ultimate Maps by Supsystic” (https://wordpress.org/plugins/ultimate-maps-by-supsystic/).

However, our WP Go Maps plugins (Basic + Pro + Gold) can be used to create the same map as you may use our store locator, marker clusters, custom marker icons and open layers map engine features.

I hope this answers your question?

I look forward to hearing back from you.

    Kindest Regards,
    Matthew

    Hi,
thanks for your reply and sorry for the late feedback.

It sounds good. With your plugin, can I import the locations from the plugin ACF (Advanced Custom Fields)?

And what else is important for me: can I place the search field outside the map and design it myself with CSS?

Are all functions also possible with the OpenstreetMap engine? We are not allowed to use maps from Google because of privacy.

    Thanks a lot

    Hi there,

Thank you for your response and time on this, I really appreciate it!

Yes you can indeed import ACF posts into your maps so that they are saved to your map and database instead of being dynamically created on page load.

With regards to styling the store locator, yes you may reposition the store locator outside the map and add custom CSS code to the “Custom CSS” setting block (Maps -> Settings -> Advanced Settings/Custom Scripts) to style it according to your preference.

Lastly regarding the the “OpenLayers” functionalities, the “Google Maps” map engine offers quite a few more helpful/useful features that the “OpenLayers” map engine does not:
    – Allows you to use StreetView (Orange Pegman)
    – Allows you to change the map view type (Roadmap, Satellite, Hybrid, Terrain)
    – Allows you to enable Google’s map layers (Traffic, Transit, Bicycle)
    – Makes use of Google Maps APIs which allow for functionality such as Geocoding etc.
    – Address autocompletion (Very helpful/useful for entering address, uses Geocoding API)
    – Calculating directions between locations on the map
    – Allows simpler imports due to the Geocoding API

I hope this answers your questions?

    Kindest Regards,
    Matthew
