Hi Greg
I tried to update the WP Google Maps Pro add-on from 6.16 to 6.19 through your plugins menu, however I’m prompted for FTP details when doing so.
Can you please update and let me know if that solves the problem?
Kind regards

I e-mailed you a link, please confirm receipt?

I can see the markers still aren’t visible on the front end.
I’m really sorry about the back and forth communication on this, it should be relatively straightforward to solve but I can’t see what the problem is from here.
I would need FTP access in order to debug this further, if that’s not permissible then you would need to find where marker_data_array is localized in the main PHP file and work backwards from there.
Please let me know?
Kind regards

I was successfully able to access that FTP however none of the changes I’m making here are being reflected when I refresh,
Could you please advise?
Kind regards

I found the solution to this,
The plugins load in the wrong order on this particular site. I’ve forced them to load in the correct order by moving the Pro add-on into /mu-plugins and can confirm the markers are now visible on the front end.
Does that solve the problem?

Sorry to hear that, I’ve got a better solution in that case,
Can you please install the plugin “Plugin Organizer” and set WPGM Pro to load before WPGM Basic.
If you have any trouble with that let me know and I’ll do that for you,
Kind regards

It may have just been that they were in alphabetical order when first displayed and that you have to press save for that order to actually be respected, as I explicitly set Pro to load first and can now confirm I see all the markers on the front end, and also that the back end works well.
Please clear your cache or do a hard refresh if that’s not the case at your end,
Has that solved the problem?
Kind regards

I’m afraid we haven’t added that functionality for the Advanced Table marker listing yet – I’ll add this as a feature request, we should have that done quite quickly as it’s a very popular request.
I will look into this as early as next week, I’ll leave this ticket open and hopefully get back to you very soon.
Do you play? Just wondering as this site is obviously aimed at musicians 🙂

I have a maple Dinky DK-2M that doesn’t get as much attention as it should, I only really play mandolin these days 🙂
That setting is in Maps -> Edit -> Store Locator under “Hide all markers until a search is done”. You’ll find that just below the marker animation dropdown, and just above the “Query String” field.
If you can’t find that setting try copying the plugin folders from the old site so you’re running an identical version, or I can provide you with the latest files if you need.
Let me know on that one?
Kind regards

We are releasing version 7 soon which gives about a +20% performance boost, and after the release we will be looking into optimising a few bottlenecks, however for the time being the only solution I can give you is to speak to your host and ask for a higher performance hosting package.
Regarding all the markers appearing int he list instead of just the ones within the radius, I can confirm this does actually work still, however it takes some time for the table data to be built and transmitted so it does appear at first that all are visible.
If you wait a few seconds you’ll see what I mean, please also see my attachment.
I’m sorry I can’t be more forthcoming at this moment in time, I can offer you a copy of the beta however it hasn’t been fully battle tested yet and I wouldn’t want more issues to arise for you.
I hope that helps?
Kind regards

I think that would be for the best!
If you do need anything else in the mean time, please don’t hesitate to get in touch.

I’m really sorry to hear this, all I can really recommend is either rolling back to establish where the performance has dropped (between our plugin and your server) or taking a full backup of the site, sending me the backup and I’ll run profiling at my end to see where the bottleneck is.
I tried to do the latter just now however I’m unable to install plugins on this site,
Please let me know how you’d like to proceed?

– PerryFebruary 27, 2018 at 12:05 pm #35118PerryModeratorHi Greg,
Please download the latest version of the plugin here:
https://downloads.wordpress.org/plugin/wp-google-maps.zip
Please find the Pro add-on here:
http://www.wpgmaps.com/?paiddownloads_key=fc864259232a5d84fb40efe94ec38c23dd783c0a5f287ac407afea8a8ca3329e
I think that version may be 6.18, if that is the case please update through the plugins menu. There have only been minor changes between 6.12 and 6.19 (eg missing images and translation – no actual bug fixes)
Please let me know how that goes?
Kind regards
