re: Google Maps Platform will begin enforcing API restrictions for Places Library on August 30, 2019

Currently our API key is restricted via domains as per your installation instructions. And as long as no API keys are restricted in the settings for the API Key in Google Cloud Platform, the WP Google Maps Pro plugin will work. But if Places Library API and/or Maps for Javascript API are disabled or restricted, then the plugin will cease to work.

Can you confirm that restricted the API key via domains will meet Google’s new API restriction policy?

    Hi there

Thank you for getting in touch.

According to Google’s documentation, these restrictions came into effect this month.

If you are concerned, you can review your API restrictions (as well as HTTP restrictions) in the API dashboard – we would recommend doing this in any case.

    Does that help?

    Kind regards
