    Max here, Pro & Gold subscription.

    Previously successfully loaded marker data with address data and Google API Geolocation lookup (paid Google Cloud account). Looked beautiful (last update about 4 weeks ago).

    Tried loading data this morning and got

    “error_message”]=> string(32) “The provided API key is invalid.” [“results”]=> array(0) { } [“status”]=> string(14) “REQUEST_DENIED” } Unable to get location data for Arlington%2C+Va%2C+United+States

    Reauthorized nearly all Google Map APIs (especially Geocoding API), created new API key, restricted to the right domain, and saved the key. Did this twice, generated different keys and removed restrictions. Updated key in plugin settings, waited a few mins, loaded same map data (about 600 records).

    Still same error. Any ideas on what I may be doing wrong?

    Hi Max

    Thank you for getting in touch.

    Have you recently switched to a paid account?

    I believe they are changing the way the API works in this regard, but it used to be that you would supply a client ID instead of an API key where this was the case.

    Does it fail on the first request or does it import some rows successfully?

    If that is the case, we need to update our code to accommodate for that and can do so as fast as humanly possible.

    If that isn’t the case, can you please open a ticket enclosing FTP details for the site so we can enable the debug log, run the import and see why that is coming back.

    Thank you again for reporting this.

    Kind regards

    Hey Perry –

    (1) Have had paid account since Q2 (using Google API for other stuff)
    (2) Fails and lists all addresses (600 rows of exact error along with address)

    Happy to open a support ticket with details. Stay tuned.

    Max
