I’m experiencing a problem with marker addresses on my map. If I use the ‘add a marker’ form and type an address in the location/gps bar it works all fine. But when I richtclick on the map the marker is saved with 2 coordinates as a location (lat, lng). After I go to my website and click on one of the markers, it shows these 2 coordinates as address, instead of converting (Geocode?) this to the real address. This makes it harder for end-users to understand the location and address of the marker.
I have an GM API key and made enabled every API that can be found here: https://www.wpgmaps.com/documentation/creating-a-google-maps-api-key/
My website: http://nutterden.concepting.org/
Is it possible that I’ve done something wrong or can I fix this in a way?December 19, 2017 at 4:57 pm #33133SupportTeamModerator
Thank you for getting in touch with us.
Please add markers by adding address and then click second icon “Edit this marker location” inside “Your Markers” table at the bottom. It opens your marker where you can modify the location of your marker. This way you can always display your markers with addresses without coordinates and your markers will be in exact position.
Hope that helps. Thank you for your time in this.

Thanks for the reply, I was able to find the icon and modification screen very easily. But unfortunately this did not resolve the problem.
I have attached a screenshot of the address in the infowindow.
You can find the map itself on: http://nutterden.concepting.org/
Basically the problem is that the infowindow shows the coordinates instead of the converted address, if I marked the address on the map.

I just added addresses to your map and then edited location to change the position of markers. Please see attached files.
Please let me know if it works as intended.

I think I understand how the addresses work in this now.
Thanks!December 21, 2017 at 3:14 pm #33214SupportTeamModerator

I have a similar issue with my WP + plugin integration. When i am on “add a marker” , i have the map on my right. then i want that to select a place (exact google map registered place) and have the marker info automatically fulfill. But it doesn’t, in fact i have to right click on the map but it give some lat and long certainly very close to my location but not that.
On the other hand, the wordpress template that i am using give me the possibility to add location and i just have to select from a search bar and it automatically update long and lat fron that location.
I am kind of lost to integrate both to have full functionnality in my website:

Have you tried to edit your markers by clicking second icon “Edit this marker location” inside “Your Markers” table at the bottom? It will open your marker where you can modify the location of your marker. This way you can set up your markers in exact position.

But to do so, i should have the exact coordinate right? this is exactly what i want to avoid and why i tough this plugin will help me out. name + location mapping are already present in the google maps, i just want to retrieve them automatically with name only.

There are two methods of adding new markers. First you can right click on the map and then fill in all fields.
You can also add address of your location to Address field and then click “Add marker” button. This will add new marker in this location. Is this what you want when you said to retrieve them automatically?
