Filter of categories move into map area?

Hi,
I am searching about the filter function for the categories in your forum, but on every occasion I recieve this:
Internal Server Error
The server encountered an internal error or misconfiguration and was unable to complete your request.
Please contact the server administrator at [email protected] to inform them of the time this error occurred, and the actions you performed just before this error.
More information about this error may be available in the server error log.
Additionally, a 500 Internal Server Error error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

Well, to my question:
I’d like to use the filter function for categories. If ein enable that, the filter appears on top of my map. Is there a way to have it in the map? Like there is a way to have the marker-list as a overlay over the map and I can place it at different locations on the map.
Also it would be great to have the filter disappearing – just appearing if I click it at the map.

I am using Basic/Pro/Gold-Version of WPGoogleMaps. Is there the an option to have filter function in that way?

We will look into this ASAP, and resolve it as promptly as possible.

Just to confirm, you would like the ‘filter by’ dropdown (or checkboxes dependent on options) to be place within the map container?

I believe this can be achieved with some minor styling, however I just want to confirm this is what you are trying to achieve?

Well yes, as you can see a sidebar appears by clicking and shows the categories. One more click and it disappers: Categories can be filtered by checkboxes.

I would like to have:
– choosing categories to appear in “filter by”
– the “filter by” within the map container (dropdown, or appear/disappear)
– choosing categories within the “filter by” checkboxes

Unfortunately this is not currently possible by default, however could be achieved with some level customization.

If you are interested in achieving this, I will need to ask that you open a support ticket with us so that we can assist you as best possible.

thank’s a lot! Looks great! Simple, clean – very nice!
At desktop it’s perfekt. For mobile/cell phone, the box of filter by is too large.
Could you fit it for responsive design?

Yes, it should be enabled for every kind of map.

A few questions:
What do I have to consider, if a new update of WP Google Maps plugin is delivered?
I guess, just updating as usual is not a good idea?

I’d like to translate “filter by” in a german translation. Where in the JS-files can I change that?

Can I enable and/or disable “filter by” on every single map?
I will have small maps with just one category. There will be no need for that filter option.
Huge maps have a need for it.

Hi Alex,

I have made the final changes for responsive design now. Please have a look and let me know?

You can manually enable filters on the maps where you would like it to feature by simply opening the map editor -> clicking on the Marker Listing Options tab -> And enabling the ‘Filter by category option’.

With regard to the translation, this is handled automatically by the PO files, however I can change this manually within the PHP for you. Please provide me with your replacement string?

The current changes (without the change to the filter by string) have been built using a custom CSS and JS plugin, meaning that you should be able to update seamlessly in the future.

Could you just tell me filenames of the custom files, so I can save them additionally.

“filter by” should be translated into “Inhalte”.

I cannot note changes for responsive desgin. I deleted cookies and history. But no changes.
