Filter by Year?

I’m trying to filter VGMs by year. Originally I had created a category for each year. The problem is my category list doesn’t display in the form. Not sure why. I would prefer to have the year categories hidden and the current year’s category selected.

Then I tried doing this as a custom field but the Year field just displays a text input that accepts any text which doesn’t fit my purpose. What’s the best way for me to accomplish this?

Thank you so much for getting in touch with us, and our sincere apologies for the inconvenience.

This is supported with our latest versions by navigating to Maps -> Edit -> VGM -> Scroll down to “Allow users to select a marker category?” -> Please enable this option.

The categories should now display in the VGM form.

If this issue persists, could you please confirm the WP Google Maps Pro and VGM version installed on your site?
