I’m very excited about all the Map Features Pro has to offer and have been working on extending the visual output.
I have a design challenge if you are willing, the prototype below lists locations in an accordion menu along with a details panel when clicking on a location.
Starting with a basic map:
Next, going to the Administrative Buildings > Showalter Hall
The prototype opens a panel with the building description.
Using Maps Pro:
I’m able to change the table view to split the map and listings next to each other but not sure how to approach separating the list into one accordion category with the details of the flyout panel. https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/38033202/ewu-map/CampusMapDemo.png
I wanted to pick you brain on how one might go by accomplishing the prototype layout.

Thank you so much for taking a moment to get in touch with us.
Unfortunately this would require extensive restructuring of the code which produces marker listings. This is due to the fact that we use categories to request data from the database. Meaning we do not group them by categories allowing you to achieve the accordion design you are hoping to achieve.
That being said it would be possible to achieve this with various changes to the code.
We will be sure to consider this for a future update though.
So sorry for any inconvenience caused by this.February 14, 2017 at 2:29 am #24294bschneiderMember
Thanks for considering for a feature.
I found the documentation using GET variables to control the map from another page – http://www.yoursite.com/?markerid=12&mzoom=12

Thank you so much for your time on this one.
Yes this can be achieved by calling the
openInfoWindow(marker_id, map_id)wrapped inside an ‘a’ tag which includes the ‘onclick’ attribute.
For more information on the ‘onclick’ attribute please have a look here: http://www.w3schools.com/jsref/event_onclick.asp
Please note that within the
openInfoWindow(marker_id, map_id)function the
marker_idparameter will need to be replaced with the targeted marker ID, and the
map_idparameter will need to be replaced with the map ID.
I hope this helps?
