I just launched the “my first map test” and there was an alert that said:

This folder does not exist. Please create it.: /C:\inetpub\xxxxxxxxx/wp-content/uploads/wp-google-maps/

When I went to the the uploads folder I saw there was indeed a folder called wp-google-maps, but it had this error in it.

    Error log created
2015-01-02 20:03:58: Could not save XML file -> Could not save marker XML file (/C:\inetpub\xxxxxxxx/wp-content/uploads/wp-google-maps/1markers.xml) for Map ID 1

I have WP Google Maps 6.1.1 and the Pro & Gold add-on.
We are an IIS shop as well.

Do you think this error could have been caused by first trying to activate the pro version before the basic version?

How do I get past this error?

    Hi there
We have addressed this issue in the latest release which is due to go out tomorrow.

In the meantime, please go to Maps->Settings -> Advanced tab and then select “Database” instead of “Marker XML” for the “Marker Pull” method.

    Does this help?
