Hi, i am building up a website where we need to filter markers with some categories, and it’s working fine. But if i want to find a Marker that’s fits to more than one attribute in one dropdown filter, for example the marker is a Hotel, and it’s near a Spot a and also near a spot b from the same category i can’t filter both without double the marker or the category or put some double words in the filter options… Is there a way to combine two categories in one filter?
I hope my described problem is understandable.

Thank you

Thank you for getting in touch, we do appreciate your time.
I had a look at the site and it appears you are using a custom field for the categories, with the filter type set to ‘Dropdown’ this means only a single selection can be made for this field type.
You can alter this filter type under Maps -> Custom Fields -> And adjusting that specific field from ‘Dropdown’ to ‘Checkboxes’ instead.
This will allow multiple field value selection for filtering.

We do also offer a category system by default which can also be switched between dropdown and checkboxes if preferred.
I hope this helps?

thanks for your fast reply.
Maybe it helps. Can i add multiple values to a single custom field? I try to do it comma separated but so they appear exactly the same i entering them.
The Problem is not to select multiple values. I want to find the same Marker under different single selections. For example a Marker has the value “one” and in a different field the value “two” (a different field because the filter option shows the exactly written name of the value) If i select “one” i want to find the marker and if i select “two” i want to find the same marker.
I want to find multiple markers under one selection for filtering. Is this possible without adding another dropdown filter field or double the Marker or something like that?
Thank you

Only a pleasure, happy to help wherever possible.
Unfortunately, assigning multiple values via comma separation is not currently supported with the custom fields functionality.
Instead, I’d recommend making use of the category feature found under Maps -> Settings -> Categories as this will allow you to assign 2 (or more) categories to a marker. This system also does not require manual data entry for each marker as you can assign a category directly from within the marker editor window.
