I am building a site using WP Google Maps Pro and I am preparing a lot of maps. Now I am working in a dev environment and when I will change to production the URL of my KML will change. Does this mean that I will have to manually open each map and correct the URL of each KML file? Is there a way to use a placeholder for my site URL, something like %%SITE_URL%%/path-to-kml-file.kml ?

    Hi Sorin

Thank you for getting in touch.

We don’t currently support this – you would have to use a DB search and replace plugin to do this on the live site.

Alternatively you could use a relative URL as opposed to an absolute URL in that field.

We do agree that this should be possible and have added this to our feature request list, you can expect to see that in the near future.

    Does that help?

    Kind regards
    – Perry
