Hi.
I have seen that the plugin does not have a language .po file. I have translated all the code from English to Spanish, but I suppose when it is updated it loses all the translation.
Is there any way to translate it correctly?
Thank you.
August 4, 2017 at 11:04 am #29209SupportTeamModeratorHi there,
Thank you for getting in touch with us.
The plugin has all translation files: .mo and .po inside wp-google-maps/languages folder. The transalation files in this folder includes all WP Google Maps plugins like WP Google Maps Pro and Visitor Generated Markers plugin. You don’t need to add the translation to Visitor Generated Markers specific folder.
Hope that helps. Thank you for your time in this.
Best regards,

August 4, 2017 at 11:26 am #29214clikcartagenaMemberI downloaded the file wp-google-maps-es_ES.po and checked that everything is translated correctly into Spanish.
So, because on my website the VGM plugin is in English and everything else is in Spanish?
This is the url so you can see the problem: http://clikcartagena.es/localizaciones/
Thank you.

August 4, 2017 at 11:50 am #29219SupportTeamModeratorHi there,
My apologies for the issues you are having with translation files.
Please go to wp-content/plugins/wp-google-maps/languages and copy wp-google-maps-es_ES.po and wp-google-maps-es_ES.mo files. Then navigate to wp-content/languages/plugins folder and paste these files there.
It should reload translation files.
Please let me know if it helps.
Best regards
August 4, 2017 at 11:56 am #29221clikcartagenaMemberI have already copied the translation files as it says.
But how do you do this ?: It should reload translation files.
August 4, 2017 at 12:29 pm #29222SupportTeamModeratorHi there,
It happens that sometimes there are old translation files in wp-content/languages/plugins folder. The above method refreshes these files.
If it doesn’t work may I ask for credentials to FTP so I’ll check this out? Please mark your reply as private.

August 7, 2017 at 12:23 pm #29277SupportTeamModeratorHi there,
It appeared one of the string no longer existed in the plugin and the mo file couldn’t compiled properly. I removed this string and updated file one more time.
Please let me know if if helps.
Best
