    Hi there,

I am doing an import, the categories are created in the admin however they are not taking on a CSV import for locations ~ for some reason, it shows no categories in the admin.

I have looked in the documentation but wasn’t able to find anything specific to categories or if they need a special formatting.

Do categories have to be manually set on each location or should they work on an import?

    Thanks much!

    Hi there,

Thank you so much for getting in touch, we really appreciate your time.

Could I kindly ask you to ensure you are using the following import method?
Maps -> Advanced -> Import.. (And not the Maps -> Advanced -> Marker Data).

In addition to this, please ensure the category is created via Maps -> Categories and that your CSV file, is using the category IDs to import and not the Category names?

Let me know if this helps?

    Kindest Regards,
    Steven De Beer

    Hi Steven,

Thanks for the reply ~ I can confirm that we are using that import method and using the ID numbers in the CSV.

Unfortunately the categories are not populating in the admin area.

    Any other ideas?

    Thanks much!

    Hi @windmill,

Thank you so much for getting back to me.

Failing the above, may I kindly ask if you would be open to providing a temporary admin account in a private response so that I may run a test or two?

I look forward to hearing back from you.

    Kindest Regards,

    Hi Steven,

Not 100% sure if that will be an option as it is a clients site and they run a tight ship ~ I’ll see what I can do and see if I can’t setup a temp staging area to demo as well.

    Thanks for your help!
