I am working on a map for a client who has about 80 locations. I was able to import all the locations, but now I need to divide them all into 3 or 4 categories. Is there a way for me to select multiple markers at a time and add the category to several at once? Changing the category for 80+ different markers would take quite a long time.

Unfortunately there is no way to bulk edit marker category data built into the plugin,
Have you considered exporting your data, making the changes to the exported file, then re-importing?
You could work on the markers as spreadsheet rows then upload your changes, if that would work for you?

You can use the legacy exporter to export CSV, it’s located under the “Marker Data” tab.

– Perry[/quote]I exported to CSV but for me the category information is not included in the CSV, seems like some kind of bug….
I changed the category on one marker before exporting, then after exporting the category column fields were all empty in the CSV file, including the one I had changed before exporting.
I tried changing all the category values in the CSV to “2” since that is the ID of the category I want to add them to, then I imported the CSV again and enabled the overwrite existing data. When I went back in to view the markers nothing had changed as far as the categories. It was just as it was before I exported with only that one marker with a category.
Does anyone else have this issue or just me? Or am I doing something wrong?Thanks.

Thank you for bringing this to our attention, we do appreciate it.
I have just run a series of tests and it does appear to be a bug that occurs in some instances, we are currently debugging this in more detail to find the cause of the issue.
Please could I ask you to create a ticket with us here: https://www.wpgmaps.com/contact-us – So that we can assist you with a short term solution while we look into a more permanent solution.

I appreciate that you are looking into fixing the bug.
It is not super critical for me at the current time to bulk change marker categories, I was simply sharing the issue that I noticed.
If I have a need to in the future I will open a ticket.
