Yes. Under the Advanced settings for the store locator, you can select a country to restrict autocomplete suggestions to. This prevents users from accidentally searching locations outside your service area and keeps results accurate.
Can I place the search form on a different page from the map?
Yes. The [wpgmza_store_locator id="X"] shortcode lets you embed the search form completely independently of the map which is useful for sidebar widgets, landing page headers, or any layout where the form and map need to be in different sections.
How do I hide markers until a search is completed?
Under Advanced Settings for the store locator, toggle on "Hide all markers until a search is done". The map will load clean with no markers visible until a visitor performs their first search which is ideal when you have hundreds of locations.
Can I let users search by marker title or description?
Yes. Enable the Title Search option in Field Settings. This adds an optional second search box that lets users search marker titles and descriptions which is perfect for directory-style maps where users might search for a business name rather than an address.
