Draw Shapes on Your Map

WP Go Maps Pro gives you four shape types to work with. Draw polygons to highlight regions, polylines to trace routes, circles for radius coverage, and rectangles for bounding areas. Every shape gets its own colour, opacity, and line weight settings so it looks exactly the way you want.

Shape Info Windows and Labels

Shapes are not just visual. You can attach rich info window content to any polygon, circle, or rectangle. When a visitor clicks the shape, the info window opens with your content, descriptions, links, and even a Get Directions button. You can also place text labels directly on your shapes to make them easy to identify at a glance.

Shape Category Filtering

Just like markers, shapes can be organised into categories. Assign each shape to one or more categories and your visitors can toggle groups of shapes on and off. This is perfect for maps that show multiple data layers, like zoning, coverage areas, or regional boundaries that visitors want to explore one at a time.

Shape Library and Import

You do not have to draw every shape by hand. The built-in shape library, powered by Nominatim, lets you search for countries, states, cities, and other boundaries and import them with a single click. You can also import shapes from KML and GeoJSON files, and export your shapes for backup or reuse on another site.
