How does real-time tracking work?
GPS-enabled devices send their coordinates to your WordPress site via the REST API. The map refreshes at your chosen interval and updates each device marker to its latest reported position. Optional polyline trails are drawn to show the movement path.
Do I need a mobile app?
No dedicated mobile app is required. Devices pair with your site and send location updates via HTTP requests to the REST API endpoint. Any GPS-capable device that can make HTTP requests can be used for tracking.
How fast can the map refresh?
The map can refresh as frequently as every 5 seconds. However, intervals of 15 seconds or longer are recommended for most servers. Shorter intervals require a more powerful server to handle the increased request volume.
Can I see where a device has been?
Yes. When polyline trail drawing is enabled for a device, the map automatically draws a line tracing the movement path. You can customise the trail colour and line weight for each device independently.
Is device approval required?
Yes. All devices must be approved from the WordPress admin panel before they appear on the map. This ensures only authorised devices are tracked and displayed to your visitors.
Do I need Pro for real-time tracking?
