What rating styles are available?
WP Go Maps Gold add-on includes four rating widget styles: Stars for classic 1 to 5 ratings, Thumbs for simple like/dislike voting, a Gradient bar with custom start and end colours, and Radio buttons for precise numeric scoring.
Can visitors rate without logging in?
Yes. With the Basic or Anti-Spam protection levels, visitors can rate markers anonymously. If you want to restrict ratings to registered users only, enable the Require Account protection level.
How are duplicate ratings prevented?
Anonymous visitors are tracked using GUID cookies so each browser is limited to one rating per marker. Logged-in users are tracked by their WordPress user ID. Returning visitors automatically update their previous rating rather than creating a duplicate.
Can I customise the rating scale?
Yes. The minimum value, maximum value, and step size are all configurable. You can create a 1 to 5 star scale, a 0 to 100 percentage scale, a 0 to 1 like/dislike scale, or any custom range. Step sizes support whole numbers and decimal precision.
Where do ratings appear?
Ratings are displayed inside marker info windows and marker listings. Each marker shows its average rating and the total number of ratings received, giving visitors instant insight into the quality of each location.
Do I need Pro for marker ratings?
