What is marker clustering?
Marker clustering automatically groups nearby markers on your map into numbered clusters. Instead of displaying hundreds of overlapping markers, clusters show a single icon with a count. As visitors zoom in, clusters dissolve to reveal individual markers.
How many markers can clustering handle?
Clustering is performance optimised with marker caching and can comfortably handle thousands of markers. Maps with 10,000 or more markers remain fast and readable when clustering is enabled.
Can I customise the cluster icons?
Yes. You can upload custom images for each of the 5 cluster size levels (53, 56, 66, 78, and 90 pixels). You can also customise the font colour and font size of the marker count displayed on each cluster icon.
Which map engines support clustering?
All three engines are supported: Google Maps, Leaflet, and OpenLayers. Each engine uses its own native cluster rendering so the clusters always look and feel right for the engine you choose.
Does clustering work with filtering?
